Basically, life coaches are action-driven with their clients and cannot diagnose. Therapists can diagnose and rely on a variety of therapies, but are not always action-driven. Certification is not needed to be a practicing life coach, but a great deal of school and licensing is needed to be a therapist.
A life coach will help you do the following:
• Change your thinking
• Increase your emotional wellbeing
• Change limited belief systems
• Reframe past experiences
• Set and achieve goals
• Make life changes
• Increase motivation
• Learn a new skill
• Change your self-identity
A therapist will do all of that plus
• Treat mental illness or clinical anxiety or depression
• Heal past trauma
• Cope with traumatic loss
• Cope with abuse
• Treat addiction or substance abuse
• Cope with relationship turmoil or violence

Absolutely! My faith is a part of my journey, but I understand that it is not everyone’s. Whatever your walk, whatever your faith (or none at all), whatever your beliefs, all are welcome here. Everyone deserves to walk a bold, confident purpose-driven life.

During this 30 minute phone call, we will talk about why you are pursuing life coaching, how I can help you and answer any questions you have for me. This call will also help us determine if we are a good fit. If the client is a teen, I will do a consultation call separately with the teen.
If you are interested in signing up for a free consultation, you can click any of the buttons on my page or send me an email. Some teens are intimidated by filling out a form. I get it. We can just chat. I want this to be as easy as possible for them.
I will reach out within 24 hours to set up a time to connect.

You are the driving force of each session! Initially I will help you determine your areas of low confidence. From there, my role is to support you in reaching your goal set during the first session and to make sure you are moving towards success. If we are meeting via phone, I will call you. If we are meeting in person or virtually, I’ll meet you at the designated place!
We will start by celebrating the wins you’ve experienced since our last session. Next, we will focus on whatever you feel is the next step toward your goal or any limiting beliefs that might be holding you back. Finally, we end with homework (I promise you’ll be motivated to do it!).

Typical sessions last for about an hour, but can range anywhere from 45-75 minutes. Meeting weekly is the most common and beneficial option, but biweekly is also an option. There is a lot of flexibility to get you the support you need! We can discuss all of this in the initial consultation call.

This can be tough. We want nothing more than to help our children. What can be so clear to us is like mud to them. Ultimately they have to want to do this for it to work. Your teen must be willing to do the work to make the change. This is why I do a separate call with them apart from you. It allows me to hear their heart as well as letting their voice be heard. Sometimes we can come to an agreement, but sometimes the timing is just not right and I let them know I am always here when they are ready.

First of all, I am so sorry. There could be a number of reasons. Please reach out to me and we can talk through some possibilities and how best to proceed.

Let’s have a conversation about it. Sometimes the issues can be resolved and we can move forward with great success. But sometimes it’s not the right fit, no the right time. or a therapist is needed instead of a life coach.
